Temple of the Branch and Root
An ancient temple, older than the city itself sits on Fortbridge’s eastern side where the Dresselwood takes over as the city’s boundary. The temple itself is formed by branches of trees bent to create the shape of a narthex. Visitors get the sense that they are walking straight into the woods before they realize the shape of the temple.
The temple is a shrine to Mielikki, the goddess of forests and the hunt. Usually, the temple is tended to by Oshalen, a priestess who floats in and out of the trees. She has a great sense of the balance of nature around her and will offer sage advice to any adventurer seeking counsel.
